JF History as told by Bob
A long time member of the Jedi Forces, bob has graciously accepted the task of writing a first version of our history. Though we have yet to interview all of the
original and long-time members, this history serves as a great starting point for understanding where we come from.
Quote: Bob
It all started with a little game called Jedi Knight Jedi Outcast 2. Two players (Neo and Redguard) were both in the clan called KoToR (Knights Of The Old Republic) which was founded by *Light*, Neo, and Icelancer. Redguard originally wanted to be a Sith Leader but the position was taken up. So this twist of fate brought Redguard down the road of Jedi's, starting out as KoToR's Jedi Leader. Since Neo was a founder and leader of KoToR, both of these players knew what they were talking about when it came to running a clan. Since KoToR was "Just kind of 'neglegent' in the sense that some of our needs weren't being completely fulfilled" (Redguard), Neo and Redguard Started talking on a map called 'ffa_bespin' and there they conceived the Jedi Forces (JF).
The main idea behind JF was that "...we could do a better job ourselves, listening to what people wanted/needed." (Redguard). The first few members were daruler and x-factor, and robjm88 who set JF up with a server. Soon after Darth Atticus and his brother Japas followed. "We had some fun times on Jedi Council GC [A map in JK2]" (Redguard) stated, showing that JF was about having fun and messing around with friends.
Meanwhile, *Light* and Azmodan from KoToR also quit and created a new clan. *Light* being the Sith Leader of KoToR, went like Redguard and Neo and created SF (Sith Forces). Soon after, JF and SF became allies (they still are to this day). Around this time, JF moved into JKA and the 'Council' was created, its purpose being to take current members of the JF clan and let them make decisions regarding the whole clan.
Then, Japlus (JA+) was introduced into the game, bringing us to the current era of JKA. The current council consists of Bob, Cloud, Leif, Dash, MÔPHEAD, Gen.Willard, Sabbath, and Spyder, with Clan leader Redguard, and Co-Clan leader Jesse. The few remaining members of JF from JK2 are Dash, and Redguard. Cartman was also in JK2 but he's fairly inactive these days. Although others have played JK2, none were in JF at that time.
As we move closer to where we are now the JKA side of JF slowly begins to fall. Members start experimenting with other games, World of Warcraft, Counter Strike Source, Half-Life 2, and many more. As it currently stands on June 15, 2006 there are 27 fairly active members. The JKA side of JF has practically died; rarely do JF members Play JKA any more. Now gone from its creating game JF now expands into other games. The name Jedi Forces doesn't work real well with a game say, Counter Strike Source which sadly dose not have any Jedi's. So now the name of the website is JFcenteral, and JF can be adapted to any game, whether it be Justice Forces for CSS, or any adaptation it still shares the same bond as the original JF. As JF slowly makes its way into other games to start recruiting and growing in size. I hope the new members from other games take the time to read this and share it with fellow clan mates, so they learn where JF came from. I also hope that you will continue what JF is about, having fun with friends, and being the best.
Thank you and I hope you enjoyed,
Bob.
